Fake Coach Purses and Serial Numbers.
Before I address the current Coach serial number scheme that Coach Purses use I will first cover a little history of the Coach bags and serial numbers. Coach bags from the 60’s do not have serial numbers. In fact it was not until the 70s that Coach decided to give each individual purse a unique serial number. Coach continued with this form of serial number until the 90’s when they started having owners register the combination of letters and numbers. With this new format of Coach serial numbers the last four digits are the style of the bag. This has changed again recently and now the Coach serial number includes a five digit style number.
Coach purse serial numbers should always be stamped on a piece of leather that is always sewn into the lining. Sometimes this coach purse serial number is referred to as the “Credo Patch” If this is not the case then there is a good chance that it is a fake Coach purse. Do not be alarmed if you do not find the Coach serial number inside the Clutch, Swingpack or the mini, Coach has decided not to include serial numbers on these purses.
If you pay attention to detail of the Coach serial numbers and pay attention to your senses that you will surely be able to stay away from the fake Coach Purses.
